I stumbled upon the movie “Remember Me” last night and it really hit me. I was thinking it’s just another rom-com (which I love of course) and was actually surprised by its ending. You see, what might just seem as another kilig film ended tragically because the guy (played by Robert Pattinson) died in 9/11.

Well, I saw some sites stating it doesn’t have much good reviews but it personally made me realize more the effect that all those terrorist attacks have (and may even be continuing to have) on the victims and their families. You see, in every victim, there’s a whole family and several friends and loved ones who will be impacted. With all the news about attacks and all, it’s easy for us to just see the victims as mere statistics, death-tolls, number of people injured but behind every victim, is whole life ahead of him/her.
I soooooo hate violence! I swear!

So here’s a prayer to all the victims of terrorist attacks all over the world, from the 9/11 attachs to the Rizal day bombing, to the soldiers continuing to risk their lives in Mindanao, in the Middle East and everywhere they may be, to their families and friends, this one’s for you.
If we have no peace, it is because we have forgotten that we belong to each other. -Mother Teresa
